The Norwood Football Club has officially inducted five Norwood icons to ‘Legend’ status at their 2018 Hall of Fame Dinner at the Ellington Function Centre last night.
Not only was the night about the induction of the Legends, but also a chance for the Football Club to celebrate the 1978 Reserves and League Premierships.
As part of the 140th year celebrations the Norwood Football Club was proud to announce the names of five men who have emulated the spirit and passion of Norwood over it’s years of existence.
The five icons that were elevated to Legend status were; Walter Scott, Wally Miller, Michael Aish, Michael Taylor and Garry Mcintosh.
Each Legend upon inducted spoke about their career and shared some of their most fondest memories whilst playing at the Norwood.
Each Legend was given a standing ovation for their dedication and commitment to the Red and Blue.
The night also included a panel of players who spoke about the 1978 Premierships, which included Michael Taylor, Bob Hammond and Ross Dillon.
The night was a success and gave players, officials and supporters a chance to catch up and speak about their favourite memories in our 140 year history.
