The Norwood Football Club Major Lottery first Prize a brand new Mazda 3 Neo was won by David Barrowcliff. David is a long time Norwood supporter and resident of our country zone on the Eyre Peninsula residing in Port Lincoln.
Mr Barrowcliff was thrilled to hear the news and is looking forward to becoming a sponsor in 2018. David currently owns his own business named Eyre Peninsula Windscreens and Window Tinting and has been operating for 28 years.
Mr Barrowcliff went onto to mention that sponsoring the club in 2018 was a way to give back to the club after winning a new Mazda as the Major Lottery winner.
“When James rang me I thought it was a joke to be honest,” said Mr Barrowcliff.
“But once I had it explained to me that I won it was an easy to decision to want to sponsor the club I have supported my entire life.
“I still remember 1982 when we beat Glenelg; I was only ten years old but it remains as one of my first memories of Norwood and the great club it has become.”
CEO of the Norwood Football Club, James Fantasia mentioned that the Lottery was very successful and is an important fundraising event for the football club.
“I’m thrilled for David and am grateful that he has indicated that he would like to become a sponsor going forward to support the club he has barracked for his whole life.”
