After the success of the inaugural event in 2015, the Adelaide Reclink Community Cup Charity Football Game returns for its fourth year at Norwood Oval.
Sunday 12 August will see the hosting of the main event, the Adelaide Reclink Community Cup, and the live music will continue all day and long into the night.
The Community Cup will again pit some of the state’s best musicians and largest media personalities against each other in a football match of hilarity, fumbles and mateship on 12 August at Coopers Stadium, Norwood.
Entirely volunteer-run and backed by local community radio stations Three D Radio, Fresh 927 and Radio Adelaide, the Adelaide Reclink Community Cup promises to again be a full day of family friendly fun and footy.
The event will raises funds for Reclink Australia, who use sport and the arts to enhance the lives of the marginalised and disadvantaged and targets some of the community’s most vulnerable and isolated people – those experiencing mental illness, disability, homelessness, substance abuse, addiction, and social and economic hardship. With a network of over 300 member agencies around the country, Reclink Australia encourages participation in physical activity in a population group under-represented in mainstream sport, recreational programs and associations. In the past 12 months Reclink Australia provided more than 100,000 individual opportunities to participate in over 10,000 sport and arts activities around the country.
