Norwood FC will host its first home match of the 2018 SANFL Maccas League Season in Round 1 against the reigning Premiers Sturt at Coopers Stadium on Monday the 2nd of April (Easter Monday).
The SANFL has gifted Norwood six Friday night home matches throughout the 2018 Season, along with nine Saturday matches, two Sunday and one Monday.
Among the highlights of Norwood’s 10 home games are clashes against traditional rivals Port Magpies on Friday May the 4th, two Channel 7 broadcasted games against Glenelg and Adelaide along with an eagerly anticipated Friday night match up against old rivals Central District.
Norwood in 2018 will host Central District on Friday night to kick off Round Eight. The last time these two sides met at Coopers Stadium on Friday night was back in May 2007 in front of 3800 people.
Norwood FC will feature in three Live and Free Televised matches on Channel 7 throughout the 2018 SANFL Maccas League Season. The Redlegs will face North Adelaide at Prospect Oval in Anzac Round; Glenelg at Coopers Stadium in Round 11 and then the Adelaide Football Club in Round 13.
The traditional match between Norwood and the Port Magpies will still occur at Coopers Stadium this season, however is scheduled for Round 6 on Friday, May the 4th instead of its traditional timeslot on Easter Thursday.
