HOME GROUND HELP FOR THE LEGS

Norwood coach Steve Symonds is looking to build a home ground advantage when the 2017 SANFL Statewide Super Women’s League begins on February 17.
Symonds – who has previously been a Reserves mentor at Sturt, Glenelg and West – is eager for all Redlegs fans to get behind the club’s female side when they play half of their minor round matches at The Parade.
The Round 3 fixture against Glenelg at Woods Street looms as a particularly exciting match-up, given it will be the curtain raiser to Adelaide’s AFL Women’s clash with Brisbane.
Speaking on SANFL Radio, Symonds also chats about impressive youngster Nikki Gore, who is the only Croweater involved with the inaugural AFL Women’s Academy.
Norwood is expected to announce its first Women’s captain as early as next week.
