First 5 Rounds Recap

After five rounds of the SANFL Maccas League we fourth on the ladder, with three wins and two defeats to our name.

The Redlegs, have much improved from last season with three convincing wins, including a solid 24-point victory over Centrals at Elizabeth a fortnight ago.

Norwood, also defeated North Adelaide in Round 1 and then went on to defeat West Adelaide by 44 points at City Mazda Stadium.

However, we have been undone twice this season so far, after tough losses to both Port and South by under a kick.

We now face a tough challenge this Friday night against Glenelg, who will be looking to notch up their fourth win of the campaign.

Norwood, will arguably enter the match the fresher of the two sides on the back of a week off, while Glenelg fell to the Eagles on Saturday afternoon by 70 points.

It’s an important game for us this week in order to put pressure on South and Port who are equal second.

The match this week against Glenelg, is also about creating awareness of Huntington’s Disease (HD) and aims to support those suffering from Huntingtons through the Huntingtons SA /NT association.

We are hoping the Norwood faithful turns out in numbers on Friday night, in what should be a fantastic spectacle in order to create awareness and help the team claim the two Premiership points.
