Ferriera will now spend the next three weeks playing with the Northern Territory in Division 2 of the AFL Under-18 National Championships.
Norwood sensation Davin Ferreira hasn’t wasted time making an impression on the SANFL after a sparkling debut against Sturt on Sunday.
The speedy Redlegs forward caught the eye of all at Peter Motley Oval, en route to posting an impressive stat line of 18 disposals, six marks, five inside 50s and three goals.
Aged just 18, Ferreira – who measures in at just 177cm and 72kg – hails from Darwin, having played in a senior NTFL premiership with Wanderers last summer.
Speaking on SANFL Radio, Norwood coach Ben Warren expresses his satisfaction at Ferriera’s debut, likening his latest debutant to Fremantle star Michael Walters.
Warren also tells of how Ferriera arrived at The Parade, while providing an insight into the teenager’s personality.
And Warren expects him to attract more interest from AFL scouts while also looking forward to the possibility of having Ferriera at his disposal leading into this year’s IGA League final series.
