Join us Saturday the 7th of July when we meet the Adelaide Football Club and create awareness of MND and aim to support those suffering from Motor Neuron Disease.
As a football club this Round 13 fixture is known as the ‘Count me in Round’ giving us the opportunity to recognise a charity or cause each year. This year we have chosen MND. This disease has no boundaries and has touched the Norwood Family in the past couple of years. Firstly we lost one of our past players, Damien Lane last year and more recently Mitch Grigg’s father, and past player Chris Grigg has been diagnosed with MND. As a way for us to all make a contribution we will be having our own Big Freeze.
On the day there will be a dunking machine loaded with cold water and ice in which a host of sports stars and celebrities have put their hand up to be dunked by our supporters. The celebrities involved are Adelaide Crows Captain, Taylor Walker, Eddie Betts, ex Crow Tyson Edwards, Channel 7’s Mark Soderstrom, Senior Coach Jarrod Cotton, Norwood Club legends Michael Aish and Michael ‘Kingo’ Taylor plus many more. We ask everyone to get involved by donating a gold coin in what will be a fantastic spectacle. The dunking will begin at 12.00pm at the Northern End of Coopers Stadium. Also together with our great partners Paradise Motors Mazda we will be giving one lucky person the chance to drive out of Coopers Stadium with a brand new Mazda BT-50 valued at $48,990. All you have to do is enter by clicking here for your chance to be selected in kicking a football into the barrel at halftime.
See you there!!!
