Norwood midfield gun, Mitch Grigg has capped off a stellar year in the red and blue claiming his first Michael Taylor Medal last Thursday night at the clubs Best and Fairest evening.

Grigg, edged out fellow on-baller Matthew Panos and speedster Matthew Nunn in an exciting count at the National Wine Centre.

Grigg has been a pillar of consistency for Norwood over the past two seasons winning back to back Magarey Medals, the Jack Oatey Medal, the SANFL goal of the year, Norwood’s leading goalkicker award and the 2018 Michael Taylor Medal.

Grigg, was one of many shining lights in 2018 as his ability to hit the scoreboard and use the ball well saw him recognised as a part of the 2018 Advertiser Team of the Year squad.

Fellow midfielder, Matthew Panos lead the votes after Round 12 however Grigg came home strong polling well throughout the latter stages of the year which included a dominant finals campaign.

Earlier in the evening Darcy Pisani was awarded the Reserves Best and Fairest, Monique Hollick won the Women’s Best and Fairest while young gun Kale Olds won the 18s Best and Fairest.
