In the Mix – Round 17

We take a look at which Redlegs are in the selection mix to face the Dogs at Elizabeth on Saturday.

Tall forward Luke Surman has done his chance of a recall no harm after kicking four goals against the Panthers on Friday night.

Surman has kicked 14 goals in his part three Reserves games and is a big chance to come in and add some extra height to a Redlegs forward line which could stretch the Centrals defence.

Patrick Levicki could be recalled if Alex Georgiou or Michael Talia aren’t fit enough to face the Dogs.

Levicki had a dominant performance in the Reserves on Friday night gathering 26 disposals and six marks in the 31-point win.

Levicki has plenty of experience in defence and could be a like for like replacement.

Brodie Carroll could also come into consideration at selection with the running defender performing strongly at Reserves level.

Carroll picked up 17 touches and six marks against the Panthers and is a chance to come in and bolster the Redlegs defence to help tackle the Dogs forward line.

Youngster from the Eyre Peninsula Nick Pedro is also putting his hand up after another good performance collecting 15 disposals and laying seven tackles. Pedro’s pressure could be what coach Jarrod Cotton needs and is a strong chance to face the Dogs.

Norwood faces Central District on Saturday afternoon at My Money House Oval at 1:10pm.
