NORWOOD defender Alex Georgiou has received better news than first feared with the veteran a chance to face Centrals in two weeks’ time.
Georgiou suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter against the Eagles and didn’t return.
Georgiou will be assessed further next week in the lead up to the Redlegs Round 17 clash with the Dogs.
Fellow defender Michael Talia also remains a chance to face Centrals after he was a late out against the Eagles with a back injury.
Talia has been a consistent performer for Norwood this year and will also be assessed next week.
Youngster Tom Forster remains in doubt for Friday night’s Reserves match with South Adelaide.
Forster injured his hip midway through the second term against the Eagles and did not return.
Forster will have scans in the coming days to determine the outcome of the injury.
