The Redlegs will look to make it five wins in a row as they face Central Districts on Saturday afternoon in Round 16 of the SANFL Maccas League.
Norwood have been in good touch since their Round 11 loss to West Adelaide, having defeated Glenelg, North Adelaide, Adelaide the league leaders Woodville West Torrens.
Norwood face off against one of their oldest rivals in Centrals, who they managed to defeat earlier in the year by 24 points.
Norwood FC, Head Coach, Jarrod Cotton knows the importance of this fixture, knowing a win is needed to help secure a spot in the top three.
“It’s really important for us to finish in the top three,” said Cotton.
“It’s a credit to the group that we have qualified, but as we have spoken about it doesn’t mean anything, we want to get to the best place we possibly can.
“It starts by making sure we defeat Centrals this Saturday, firstly to put pressure on both Port and Sturt and but then obviously gives us the best chance of finishing in the top three.
With the home and away season drawing to a close, Cotton has made mention of the bye coming at the right time after a few sore bodies came out of the blockbuster clash with the Eagles.
With finals looming, Cotton said everyone is feeling fresh and knows his side is ready to finish of the year strongly.
“There were a few sore boys after the Eagles game, it was a pretty solid game,” Cotton mentioned.
“But the bye probably came at the right time, we freshened up early in the week.
“The boys had the weekend off and trained really well on Monday night which was a solid session to say the least.
“But, the boys are ready to roll for this week and can’t wait to be back in front of our home supporters on our home deck.”
