THE REDLEGS travel to Elizabeth tomorrow afternoon to face Central District in Round 17 of the SANFL Maccas League.
After a tough match against the Eagles a fortnight ago, Norwood will be looking to record their 12th win in a row.
After the bye last weekend, Senior Coach of Norwood Jarrod Cotton admits his side is feeling fresh and are ready to take on the Dogs at My Money House Oval.
“The boys are feeling really good heading into tomorrow’s clash,” said Cotton.
“We had the bye last week to freshen up physically and mentally, whilst getting in some really good training as well.
“They’re ready to go.”
While Norwood currently sit top of the SANFL Ladder, Cotton admits that tomorrow’s match will be another tough one knowing full well that Centrals are well drilled and that the Redlegs need to go to Elizabeth with the right attitude and endeavour to play tough hard football.
“Obviously playing Centrals at Elizabeth is a tough game no matter what,” said Cotton.
“They are a very good team who are well coached and know how to play well especially at home.
“For us, it’s about going there with the same process and focusing on getting it done in the middle of the ground, moving the ball swiftly to our forwards and playing the game as much as we can in our forward half.”
“If we do that, then we will be hard to beat.”
In terms of injury news, the Redlegs will again be without defender Michael Talia with a back injury, while the Redlegs could welcome back Patrick Levicki and Luke Surman.
“Talia will hopefully play next week if not the South Adelaide game at Noarlunga,” Cotton said.
“At the minute Michael’s injury is a day by day scenario to see how he pulls up, however he is improving it’s just a little bit slower than expected.”
“In better news though Pat Levicki comes in who is really good tall defender and Surman returns after some really good football at Reserves level.
“So, we will train tonight and make a decision on who stays in.”
