The Norwood Football Club return to action this Sunday as they face West Adelaide in Round 11 of the SANFL Maccas League.

A fortnight ago we ran over a well-structured South Adelaide outfit by eight points, and now have the opportunity to apply pressure on Port’s place on the ladder, with a win against the Bloods on Sunday.

Norwood will regain key personnel for the clash as Matt Panos, Dean Terlich and Mitch Grigg are all set to return.

Head Coach of Norwood, Jarrod Cotton admitted during the week that the week off came at a good time, allowing the team to refresh mentally and physically.

“I think overall for the whole list it’s been good to have that break physically as well as mentally,” Cotton said.

“Obviously getting Grigg, Terlich and Panos back into any team of SANFL footy would be a bonus for any club.

“I was really proud of the group that played at South in regards to how we went about it, having some really young guys in that team.

“But now it’s up to Mitch, Matt and Dean to come in, play their role and I have no doubt they will.”

Although, West Adelaide sit below Norwood on the SANFL ladder, Cotton has admitted his side will need to be at their very best in order to overcome a tough West Adelaide side looking for revenge.

“West Adelaide are the second-best team in the competition for winning first quarters,” Cotton explained.

“So, we want to make sure that we get off to a really good start at home and put them under pressure straight away.

“So, if we can do that we will put ourselves in a really good spot for the rest of the game.

“We have to obviously make sure that we execute our defensive action first and then I am sure our offensive stuff that was showcased against South will be out in full flight tomorrow as well.
