Experienced Norwood campaigners Ben Jefferies, Callum Bartlett and Matthew Fuller have called time on their SANFL careers.
A beloved clubman during his 9 senior seasons with the Redlegs, consistent and courageous defender Jefferies leaves Norwood a triple premiership player and best and fairest winner in 2013.
Recruited from Onkaparinga Valley, Ben’s time with Norwood extends back to 2009 where he made his senior debut against Central District. Jefferies finishes up having played 132 games kicking 29 goals.
The elusive Matt Fuller joined Norwood in 2008 for his first stint at the Parade up until he was drafted to the Western Bulldogs in 2014.
A penetrating kick of the ball, Fuller joined Norwood for the 2016 Season winning the Best and Fairest in his first season back. Fuller’s ability to hit a target and lead from the front saw him recognised in the Leadership Group in 2017 and 2018.
Callum Bartlett joined the Norwood Football Club in 2014 after a stint at the Brisbane Lions. A natural half-forward Bartlett played a vital role in the 2014 Premiership win and will be remembered a good team man who always worked hard.
Bartlett despite playing mostly Reserves in his final season finished up playing 55 Senior games and kicked 44 goals.
Senior player Caleb Edmead has also informed the club he will retire this year.
Edmead joined Norwood at the end of last season from Central Districts. Edmead only managed 3 Senior games this year, however lead from the front leading the Reserves to the minor Premiership and Grand Final.
Norwood thanks each of these men for their contributions at Coopers Stadium and wish them well in their future endeavours, both on and off the field.
