NORWOOD’s Reserves have fallen agonizingly short falling to Centrals at Elizabeth by five points.

In what was a tight affair for most of the match, the Redlegs came home strong in the final term however it wasn’t enough to get the past Dogs.

Norwood took a 3-point lead into the major break, but the Dogs were able to claw back the lead and entered the final change with a lead of their own thanks to an accurate display by Centrals.

Darcy Pisani was influential in the midfield once again collecting 29 disposals, five marks and eight tackles, while both Chris Olsson and Lachlan Pascoe combined for 40+ plus disposals.

Speedy Joe Bielby continued his good form at Reserves level, finishing with three goals and 13 touches, while Callum Bartlett collected 18 touches and a goal.

Meanwhile, young forward Luke Wilson (9 touches) played well kicking three goals and Brodie Carroll continued his good form with 19 touches.

The Reserves next face Roosters at Coopers Stadium on Friday, August 17 from 4.50pm.
