Norwood’s Reserves have claimed the 2018 Minor Premiership after a convincing 52-point win over the Panthers on Sunday afternoon.
The Redlegs dominated from start to finish and were ruthless on the scoreboard booting 16 goals 10 for the match.
Only 13 points separated the sides at the first change, but an 8.7 to 3.7 stretch in the middle quarters (including a goalless Panthers quarter in the second) would put the result beyond doubt.
Small forward Caleb Edmead was impressive for Norwood kicking five goals, while Cole Gerloff was outstanding for the Legs gathering 29 touches, eight marks and ten tackles.
Lachlan Pascoe continued to impress the coaches again after collecting 26 disposals, nine marks, seven tackles as well as nine re-bound 50’s.
Hard runner Chris Olsson was deadly in front of goal booting three, while Mitch Carter and Anthony Giannini kicked two apiece.
The Redlegs Reserves worked well in transition especially finding runners to break the lines.
Callum Bartlett did his chances of a recall no harm collecting 26 touches and six marks, while youngster Nick Pedro collected 20 touches and nine marks.
The Redlegs finished the match in front of all the key statistics, finishing plus 12 in marks and plus 10 in tackles.
