Norwood’s Reserves have returned to winning ways after a come from behind six-point win against Glenelg on Saturday afternoon.
In wet conditions Norwood trailed by 7-points midway through the last term before Premiership Players Callum Bartlett and Simon Phillips kicked back to back goals to hand the Redlegs their sixth win of the year.
In what was an encouraging performance by Gavin Hughes’s men, Norwood now move up to third on the Reserves ladder just one game of off top spot.
Ball magnet Darcy Pisani had a day out on Saturday collecting 32 disposals including a game high 13-tackles and a goal, while Chris Olsson gathered 25 touches and a game high 11-marks.
Former Dog Caleb Edmead, Harry Viney and Callum Bartlett all kicked two goals apiece, while there were four individual goalkickers for Norwood.
Defender Brodie Carroll also had a busy day collecting 23 disposals and four marks which included a game high five inside 50’s.
One stat which was really noticeable for Norwood was their tackle pressure. The Redlegs Reserves finished plus 42 in tackles (89-47) and plus 11 in inside 50’s (46-35).
The Reserves now have a week off before travelling to Alberton in Round 12 to face the Port Adelaide Magpies.
