The Redlegs, in Round 9, faced the Adelaide Crows in the SANFL’s Multicultural Round. In what was a thrilling contest, we fell by two points as Myles Poholke kicked the winning goal with only 20 seconds left on the clock.

After two shattering losses, Norwood then faced a tough away trip against South Adelaide at Hickinbotham Oval.

South started the season well winning five of their first six matches, including a win against Norwood in a nail-biting contest at the Parade in Round 3. Joel Cross was the hero that night for the Panthers kicking a goal right on the siren to break the hearts of the Norwood faithful.

Norwood travelled to South without a host of stars including; Mitch Grigg, Matt Panos, Simon Phillips, Dean Terlich and Alex Forster.

The Redlegs were then dealt a blow in the opening quarter, as Tim Webber was withdrawn from the match with a knee injury forcing Norwood to play out the match with one less rotation.

Norwood, however showed their class and resilience defeating South by 8 points to claim third spot heading into the bye.
