The Lady Legs face North Adelaide in the Statewide Super Preliminary Final at Prospect Oval on Saturday afternoon.

In what has been a tough season for the Lady Legs, Saturday’s match against the Roosters will be another tough task with a second straight Grand Final appearance at stake.

Norwood and North are both coming off tough losses in Round 10 at the hands of West Adelaide and South Adelaide.

Norwood however will take plenty of confidence out of their match with South by restricting them to only five goals for the match and outscoring the Panthers in the last quarter.

Speaking to Premiership Coach of the Redlegs, Steve Symonds he mentioned that last weekend’s performance against South showed signs that Norwood are starting to return to that early season form which defeated North in Round 1.

“For us as a group there were some signs on the weekend that we are starting to return back to where we were early in the season,” said Symonds.

“We have a lost our way a bit in regards to our method moving the ball in our front half,”

“However, there were signs on the weekend even though we didn’t score heavily, that our method of the way we are actually moving the ball is starting to take shape.”

The Lady Legs enter a similar situation as they did in 2017. Norwood defeated North first in Round 1, then fell to the Roosters the next time they faced off.

Ultimately the two sides squared off in the Grand Final, with the Redlegs running out eventual winners of the SANFLW in 2017.

Symonds having been in this situation before believes Norwood need to approach it as they did last year, needing to bring their very best to overcome a strong Roosters outfit.

“We’ll probably approach this match in exactly the same way as we did last year.” Symonds said.

“We know that if we get close to our best that it’s probably going to be good enough to win.

“In saying this we need to get our method right and once we do that our scores will come.

“Overall we need to bring our best to defeat North, if we do that I’m confident we can come away with a result and play in our second Grand Final.
