Norwood to battle West in Round 2 replay

Norwood will look to record back to back wins for the first time in 2018 when they entertain West Adelaide at Coopers Stadium on Friday night.

After overcoming Glenelg last weekend by 35-points, the Lady Legs will look to record their third win of the campaign on Friday night.

Norwood will look no further than Round 2 for motivation, after the Bloods downed the Legs by 12-points at Hickinbotham Oval.

The Legs will be boosted by Adelaide Crows Vice-Captain, Sally Riley who comes into the side for the first time this season.

Norwood also regains Stana Zecevic, Alison Ferrall and Alana Browne for the Round four clash.

After what was a low scoring encounter back in Round 2, both sides will aim for a fast start in order to dictate the contest.

Norwood’s scoring ability was on show last weekend; however their accuracy in front of goal will need to improve in order to defeat a strong West Adelaide outfit.

Last Three Times:

R2, 2018 Norwood 2.2 (14) def by West 4.2 (26) at Hickinbotham Oval

R2, 2017 Norwood 9.7 (61) d West 1.4 (10) at City Mazda Stadium

R5, 2017 Norwood 13.13 (91) d West 2.1 (13) at Coopers Stadium

Three Points:

  1. In the last three fixtures Norwood and West have played at three separate venues with West Adelaide victorious on two of those occasions.
  2. Norwood welcomes Sally Riley into the starting line-up to make her Redlegs debut.
  3. Keep an eye of Leah Cutting in the ruck for Norwood. She leads the competition for hit outs with 73 in three games.
