The Norwood Football Club has re-signed consistent performer Leah Cutting, 2018 debutant Jo Hill and tall forward Jane Fitzgerald for the 2019 SANFL Women’s League Season.
Cutting has been an instrumental figure for the Lady Legs having lead the ruck for the past two seasons.
After winning the Premiership in 2017, Cutting recorded another stand out season in the red and blue winning the Best Team Player award and finishing inside the top 10 of the best and fairest.
Cuttings ability to mark strongly and get around the ground puts her as one of the best rucks in the competition.
Norwood has also gained the signature of key forward Jo Hill for the 2019 Season.
Hill was the first cab off the ranks, earning her League debut against North Adelaide in Round 1.
The former Australian Basketballer played six games for the season, impressing with her marking ability and eye for goal.
In her first season as a Lady Leg, Hill booting four goals for the year and averaging just under 10 disposals a game.
Hill’s presence up forward allows her to bring into the play Norwood’s dangerous small forward line which again will be on display in 2019.
Fitzgerald signs on with Norwood after a consistent year in 2018. The netballer played six games for the year and will look to improve on that in 2019.
Fitzgerald will continue to lead the charge up forward and can pinch hit in the ruck when needed.
The Norwood Football Club looks forward to seeing these women in action in 2019.
