The Norwood Football Club is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former player Peter Vertudaches.
Peter joined Norwood in 1962, starting in the Reserves when he was named best junior and in 1963 won the Reserves best and fairest award.
The skilful wingman made his League debut in 1964. Small in stature and courageous, he was popular with spectators and team-mates alike. A good mark and accurate kick, Peter was named in the 1964 Advertiser Team of the Year and adjudged Norwood’s best first year player. He played 62 League games between 1964 and 1968 and later transferred to West Adelaide, playing two League games in 1970.
The club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the Vertudaches family.
