Vale John Vickers

The Norwood Football Club is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former player John Vickers.

John Vickers transferred to Norwood from Broken Hill in 1959 and started his league career at half back. He played 111 league games and 46 reserves games from 1959 to 1962.

A strong dashing player, “Painter” as he was known, developed into an outstanding half forward flanker.
