Welcome Mykaela Walker – SANFLW Signing

The Norwood Football Club welcomes Mykaela Walker to the SANFLW Program in 2024.

The 18-year-old was listed with Glenelg’s SANFLW squad in 2023, she played six Development League matches last season where she booted three goals.

From the Morphettville Park Football Club, Walker was part of the Women’s Division 1 Premiership team in 2023. Kicking 17 goals from 14 games.

Norwood SANFLW Brad Ferrall coach said he was excited to integrate Walker into the Senior Women’s squad.

“I coached Mykaela at local level (at Morphettville Park) and see some really big positives,” he said.

“She is a really good contested mark, probably the best contested mark for an 18-year-old that I have seen.

“I am keen to keep working with her and what she needs to improve on, but her marking and foot skills are outstanding.”

Norwood’s SANFLW pre-season got underway on Monday.
