Harry Boyd, Jackson Callow, Jacob Kennerley, Jack Saunders and Declan Hamilton have re-committed to the club for the 2024 season.
Boyd was Runner Up in this year’s Best and Fairest count, and won the Michael Taylor Medal in 2022, along with the Jack Oatey Medal on Grand Final Day.
Boyd has been a dominant ruckman in the SANFL competition, among the top players in the League for hitouts and clearances in 2023.
He represented South Australia in the 2023 State game against Western Australia.
Kennerley was elevated to the co-captaincy position in 2023, playing 15 games before injury cut his season short.
He brought up the 50-game milestone in 2023.
Tall forward Callow returned to Norwood as a prized recruit for the 2023 season after spending 18 months on Hawthorn’s AFL list.
He battled with an ankle injury for most of last season, before returning to the League side in Round 15. He kicked nine goals in his final three matches, and was a dominant force in Norwood’s forward line.
Also returning to Norwood for the 2023 Season was Saunders. His return campaign was cut short after a neck injury in Round 4.
Hamilton will return in 2024 as one of Norwood’s most experienced SANFL players, with 101 matches under his belt.
He averaged 17 disposals in 2023, and kicked eight goals from his 12 matches before injury cut his season short.
The club is very excited by these re-signings.
