John Nash attended Christian Brother’s College, and was an outstanding young sportsman. After joining Norwood, he progressed through the grades, where he was named the most consistent player in Norwood’s 1967 Colts team, and played Reserves in 1968.
Nash made his league debut against Woodville in the opening round of 1969. A skilful wingman/half forward, he played 18 matches in his first year of senior football, but surprisingly only added another four over the next four seasons.
