Past Player of the Week – David Shillabeer

David Shillabeer came from Port Augusta in 1965, having played in a premiership for South Augusta in the Spencer Gulf League the previous season. He then played for Norwood’s thirds in its 1965 premiership win.

A natural left-footed half forward flanker, he was promoted to the Seconds and made his League debut mid-season 1966, playing brilliantly in the last seven rounds.
