Norwood will take on Glenelg in the SANFLW Preliminary Final at Stratarama Stadium in Glenelg on Saturday afternoon.

The winner will play minor premiers South Adelaide in the SANFLW Grand Final at Norwood’s Coopers Stadium on Saturday, July 6.

The Redlegs have made one change from their successful Semi Final team, with Elle Lineage coming into the team, and Mykaela Walker out.

Norwood just snuck over the line in a thrilling five-point Semi Final win against Central District at Noarlunga last Saturday, 6.4-40 to 5.5-35, kicking the last three goals of the game to keep its season alive.

Glenelg on the other hand went down to the Panthers by 28 points, 6.5-41 to 1.7-7.

Norwood will also celebrate the 50-game milestones of Adrienne Davies, Kiana Lee and Lana Schwerdt.

Speaking with the SANFL’s Zac Milbank, Davies said it was a proud moment for her to reach 50 SANFLW matches, which has been spread across two clubs Norwood and North Adelaide.

“It is special, it feels like it’s a long time coming,” she said.

“For me it’s been six years as a SANFLW player to get there, so this is a reward for longevity. I am proud of this achievement.”

Lee has played football from a young age, starting with Rosewater Football Club in the U8s, before moving to SMOSH West Lakes, and eventually making her SANFL debut with Woodville-West Torrens where she played 30 League matches.

She moved to Norwood for the 2023 season where she played four games in her first year at The Parade. This season she’s overcome injury and found her place in the SANFLW side, playing all 15 matches and kicking a team-high 16 goals.

Lee has enjoyed an outstanding season on the wing, and stood up in big moments, which included two goals in a must win Round 14 match against West Adelaide, and a season-high 18 disposals in last Saturday’s semi final against Central District.

“I am excited to share the milestone with a couple teammates, it should be a good game on Saturday,” Lee said.

“Last week’s semi final was a tough game, but I thrive off pressure and I wanted to lift and do what I could for the team. Going into this week I am excited, nervous, but if we play to our strengths we should be ok. We are looking forward to it.”

Schwerdt has been a consistent performer for the Redlegs, bringing up the 50th game at just age 19.

“I am much more focussed on the prelim than the 50th, but I am excited,” she said.

“We have been improving each game and we feel confident that we can get the job done against the Tigers, we know we can match it with them.”

The SANFLW Preliminary Final will form a triple header at Glenelg on Saturday, with the Glenelg V Adelaide SANFL match following from 2:20pm.
