The Norwood Football Club farewells and thanks Tesharna Maher and Alana Lishmund for their contribution to the Redlegs over the past five seasons.
Maher and Lishmund have been outstanding players for Norwood’s SANFLW program, particularly in 2022 when Maher won the club’s Best and Fairest Award, and Lishmund took out the SANFLW League Goal Kicking Award.
Maher – who started her SANFLW journey with Woodville-West Torrens in 2019 – moved to Norwood for the 2021 season and has since amassed 43 SANFLW matches in red and blue.
Last season Maher brought up her 50th SANFLW match.
She’s been an important figure for Norwood across her four seasons, and represented South Australia in the first ever State Game against Western Australia in May.
From Norwood’s recruiting zone of Hope Valley, Lishmund played 34 SANFLW games for Norwood, from 2020 to 2024, kicking 22 goals. Including 18 in a career-best 2022 campaign where she won the League Goal Kicking Medal.
The club wishes them all the best with their football moving forward.
