VALE Grant Dalwood

VALE Grant Dalwood –  22/2/1956 to 13/9/2024

The Norwood Football Club is saddened by the passing of Grant Dalwood.

Grant was a well-known and respected figure at the club, as a player, coach and administrator.

The Dalwood family has a long-lasting and strong connection to Norwood, through Grant’s father NFC Hall of Famer Peter Dalwood who played 147 matches (including three SANFL premierships).

Grant played 55 League matches in the red and blue, before his career was cut short due to a knee injury in 1981 at the age of 25.

After his playing career, Grant went on to become a great club man. He was the runner for the Reserves for five seasons, coached the club’s U19s side, and served on several club groups and committees.

Grant was a Life Member of the Norwood Football Club.

He passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on September 13, 2024 at the age of 68. His loving and devoted family by his side.

The club would like to honour and pay its respects to Grant, one of the great contributors to the Norwood Football Club.
