Norwood to host Roosters in Round 1

The League has released the Round 1 Fixture for the 2025 SANFL and SANFL Women’s seasons.

Norwood will host North Adelaide at Coopers Stadium in Round 1 of the 2025 SANFL Season, under lights on Saturday, March 29. The game will get underway at 7:10pm.

Norwood’s Senior Women have a SANFLW Grand Final re-match against South Adelaide at the newly renamed Magain Stadium in Noarlunga. The Season opener will take place in the twilight timeslot of 6pm on Saturday, March 15.

Norwood played the Roosters twice in 2024 for two victories. The first coming in Round 5, a tight eight-point win at Prospect Oval, followed by a more comfortable 18.10-118 to 9.9-63 win in Round 18 at Coopers Stadium.

The Round 5 victory was highlighted by an incredible Jack Cresswell back with the flight mark and set shot goal in the fourth term to ice the game.

Norwood’s Senior Women played their Round 1 opponents, the Panthers, three times in 2024. A 20-point Round 2 win in stifling conditions at Magain Stadium, a 25-point win at Coopers Stadium in Round 8, and then the narrow five-point defeat in the Grand Final.
