AFL Gather Round returns to The Parade, Norwood!

Norwood Oval will host two games in Round 5 of this year’s AFL Gather Round:

• Saturday 12 April – Western Bulldogs v Brisbane Lions
• Saturday 13 April – St Kilda v GWS GIANTS

Free public transport to Norwood Oval

Footy fans can enjoy free public transport to all matches during Gather Round with a valid game day ticket.

AFL GATHER ROUND WEEKEND

LOCATION: WOODS STREET: from The Parade to Beulah Road

THURSDAY 10 APRIL – MONDAY 14 APRIL

TIME:

Thursday: 7:00am to 7:00pm

Friday: 7:00am to 7:00pm

Saturday: 7:00am to 10:00pm

Sunday: 7:00am to 9:00pm

Monday: 7:00am to 12:00pm

DETAILS: Road closure to accommodate the set-up of infrastructure (including back-up generators) at the oval and for pedestrian access to and from the games.  Access for residents and businesses of Woods Street, Beyer Street and Teresa Street will be permitted – please see the Traffic Controllers stationed at road junctions.

GAME TIMES: Western Bulldogs V Brisbane Lions on Saturday 12^th April at 3:45pm and St Kilda V GWS Giants on Sunday 13 April at 2:50pm.

LOCATION: THE PARADE (both directions): from Osmond Terrace to Portrush Road

FRIDAY 11 APRIL – MONDAY 14 APRIL

Friday: 7.00pm – midnight

Saturday: 12.00am – midnight

DETAILS: Road closure for the Norwood Food & Wine Festival (run by SATC). Residents of Cairns Street will be escorted by Traffic Controllers from the Portrush Road end of The Parade and two-way local traffic will be permitted along Margaret Street.

LOCATION: OSMOND TERRACE north bound, Norwood Primary School side from the U-turn Lane (adjacent to Orange Lane) to the slip lane (adjacent to Norwood Police Station).

SATURDAY 12 APRIL

TIME: 4.30am to 8.00pm

DETAILS: Road closure to accommodate the Rivals Long Lunch (run by Council), event time 11.30am – 3.00pm.

LOCATION: THE PARADE (both directions): from Sydenham Road to Osmond Terrace

SATURDAY 12 APRIL

TIME: 1.00pm to 8.00pm

DETAILS: Road closure to accommodate for safety of the game patrons and access for shuttle buses.

LOCATION: THE PARADE (both directions): from Sydenham Road to Osmond Terrace (including the Osmond Terrace intersection)

SUNDAY 13 APRIL

TIME: 10.00am to 10.30pm

DETAILS: Road closure to accommodate for safety of the game and Food & Wine Festival patrons.

DETAILS: Parking restrictions will be in place on the east side of Margaret Street to allow for two-way vehicle access. Resident parking will be provided on west side of Margaret Street.

DETAILS: Strictly no parking to facilitate access for the shuttle buses and the temporary bus stop.  

Adelaide Metro Buses and e-scooters will be re-routed throughout the whole weekend (Friday to Sunday).
