Past Player of the Week – Des Flavel

Des Flavel joined Norwood in 1968, having attended King’s College on a scholarship. Originally from Lucindale in South East South Australia, Flavel was a strongly built, tenacious rover and back pocket player.

He was named in a forward pocket in Norwood Reserves’ Grand Final win over North Adelaide in 1970.
