The SANFL has released the fixtures for the U18 Boys, U18 Girls and U16 Boys competitions, which have been relaunched as the AAMI Talent League for the 2026 season.

The inaugural AAMI Talent League Girls U18 competition will kick off on Saturday, February 28, with Norwood hosting Woodville-West Torrens at 3:20pm at Coopers Stadium.

The Redlegs will host just two matches at Norwood’s Coopers Stadium in the inaugural season (Round 1 and Round 5 V Sturt), with three quadruple-headers scheduled for Noarlunga in Round 2, Richmond in Round 3 and Elizabeth in Round 4.

Norwood’s first ever U18 Girls side will be coached by Bri Arthur, with pre-season well and truly underway, training alongside the club’s Senior Women’s squad.

“The fixture release is an exciting day, it means the season is drawing closer, and Round 1 is just around the corner,” Norwood FC Female Junior Pathways Coordinator Shenae Walker said.

“The girls have been working really hard across December and January, training has been great. It’s so exciting to see how much talent we have in the group.

“Now that we are just one month away from the real stuff, we are starting to ramp up the match simulation, with a couple of trial matches at the start of February.”

The SANFL AAMI Talent League Boys U18 competition will get underway Wednesday, March 18 with Norwood hosting North Adelaide at Coopers Stadium, 8pm.

SANFL Chief Executive Officer Darren Chandler said the expansion of AAMI’s partnership with SANFL was an enormous boost for talent development in South Australia.

“AAMI has been a proud supporter of football at all levels in South Australia and we are absolutely thrilled to have them come on board to support our talent development programs and the AAMI Talent League,” Mr Chandler said.

“The new partnership is set to take the AAMI Talent League to a new level in 2026 and further strengthen our premier underage competitions.

“The AAMI Talent League provides the best possible talent pathway for boys and girls, as well as coaches and umpires, giving them the best opportunity to participate at either SANFL or AFL level in the future.”

The 2026 AAMI Talent League Girls, which replaces the SANFLW Development League, launches on February 28 and is a major step forward for girls and women’s football development in South Australia.

The seven-round home and away season concludes on Saturday April 18, followed by a two-week finals series between the top four teams.

The AAMI Talent League Boys starts with Round One on the evening of Wednesday March 18 and Thursday March 19 with the 18-round home and away season concluding on August 15.

The AAMI Talent League Under-16 boys season begins on Friday March 27.

The grand finals for both boys’ leagues will be played as curtain raisers to the Hostplus SANFL League preliminary final at Adelaide Oval on September 13.
