Past Player of the Week – Brad Vassal

Brad Vassal grew up in Modbury Heights and attended Pedare College. He was selected in Norwood’s development squad and in 2000/2001 played under 17s. He progressed to the under 19s and reserves in 2002 when he also worked as a groundsman at the Norwood Oval.

Noted for his strong work ethic, Vassal set a fine example for the rest of the players. He had a solid start to the 2004 season, playing with confidence and anticipation off the half-back line. He made his league debut as a 20 year-old against Woodville-West Torrens in round 15, 2004.
