Norwood midfielder Mia Wood has rounded out a near-perfect season with the club’s inaugural U18 Girls Best and Fairest Award.
Wood was a member of this month’s U18 Girls Grand Final victory over Central District, and also recently starred for South Australia in the AFL U16 Girls National Championships where she was recognised with an All Australian team selection.
On Thursday night, Wood received further recognition as the club’s Best and Fairest Award winner, with 131 votes, ahead of Runner Up Ella Anderson, 121 votes.
Anderson has had an equally as impressive season, having been named best on ground in the recent Grand Final win, before making her SANFL Women’s debut a week later.
Anderson was also named the club’s Fortis Award winner last night.
Premiership Captain Molly Sennar was the third place finisher in the B&F count, with 62 votes, while Kaianne Colbung-Ware and Amelia Kelly rounded out the top five. Scroll down to see the top 10.
