Past Player of the Week – Rodney Seekamp

Recruited from Renmark, Rodney Seekamp was a highly skilled play-maker. Joining Norwood in 1970, he made his League debut in his first year, and in the same year played in the Reserves Grand Final victory against North Adelaide on the Adelaide Oval. Named on a half forward flank, he was high in Norwood’s best players.

He shared the Best First Year player award with Greg Schlein in 1971, when he often played across the half forward line. The following season Seekamp played more games as a centre-man.
