Peter ‘Redhead’ Blood was a tough ruckman who went through King’s College with his life-long mate Bob Haines before both served Norwood loyally and long on and off the field.
Both were valued members of the King’s College Premiership teams of 1962 and 1963, under the coaching of former Port Adelaide wingman Bory Hewitson, while at the same time cutting their teeth at Norwood in the Junior Colts and the Under 19s. In 1964 they both played in the Under 19s first semi-final and then the Reserves final.
