Past Player of the Week – David Trotter

David “Trotts” Trotter played his early football in Lockhart, a country town in NSW, and completed his secondary education at Assumption College in Victoria.

After playing in the Under 16 championships, Trotter was selected in the AFL Academy (Australian Institute of Sport) and subsequently toured Ireland with the squad.

Trotter also played for the Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup* under 18 competition whilst at Assumption, and for NSW/ACT in the national under 18 championships.

He was drafted by North Melbourne at pick nine in the 2003 national draft.
