NORWOOD has named a squad of 24 to face the Double Blues on Saturday afternoon at Coopers Stadium.
In what will be Norwood’s first competitive hit-out against the opposition, Coach Jade Rawlings has opted to field a squad combined with youth and experience, as the competition for spots ramps up in anticipation for Round One.
Recruit from the Collingwood Football Club Jay Rantall has been named in the squad, while experienced pair Matthew Nunn and Mitch Wilkins will also feature for the Redlegs.
Key forward/ruck Thomas Graham will also feature after arriving at The Parade in the off-season, along with defender Pierce Seymour and fellow forward Connor McLean.
Former North Launceston defender Thomas Donnelly will also play, along with fellow Tasmanian Baynen Lowe.
Midfielder, Cory Stockdale will also don the red and blue of Norwood for the first time tomorrow afternoon, as well as former Bays forward Tom Condon.
The Reserves will also play their first competitive game for 2022 when they face the Double Blues tomorrow morning.
Former Geelong Cat Cam Taheny will make his return from injury, while fans will be able to cast an eye on some impressive youngsters coming through such as Max Michalanney and Peter Minervini.
