The Norwood Football Club is set to welcome back mobile forward Cam Taheny for Friday night’s clash with Central District at Coopers Stadium.
Taheny just needs to get through training this week to play after concussion protocols kept him out of Norwood’s Round six defeat to South Adelaide.
Eyre Peninsula product, Macaulay Glover and Sam Hargreaves are both set to return this week after respective hip and wrist injuries. The two will need to prove their fitness at training this week to de declared for Friday’s clash with Central District.
Duo, Ed O’Connor, and Lachlan Pascoe are progressing well from their respective injuries and will begin to ramp up their training loads in a bid to return.
O’Connor is listed as a week away from a return, while Pascoe now has a timeframe of 3-4 weeks.
Oscar Hodge is recovering well from a knee injury suffered in the Reserves loss against Sturt and is 4-6 weeks away from returning, while midfielder Jed Spence isn’t too far away after suffering a setback with his knee.
Rebounding defender Nick Pedro suffered a concussion against South Adelaide and will progress through the SANFL Concussion Protocol.
Ben Kelly (Ankle), Isaac Saywell (Leg), Brodie Carroll (Hamstring) are all progressing well in their rehab.
Upcoming youngster, Max Michalanney is unavailable for selection this week as he is with the AFL Academy, playing against Collingwood VFL in Melbourne this weekend.
Norwood faces Central District on Friday night at 7:45 pm at Coopers Stadium. The Reserves are in action from 5:00 pm.
