Past Player of the Week – Simon Neave

Simon Neave joined Norwood via Dudley United/Keith and progressed through Norwood’s junior ranks. He kicked four goals in Norwood’s 1985 Under 19s Grand Final victory against Port Adelaide.

A courageous and pacy rover/half forward, Neave was dangerous near goals. He made his senior debut in the 1986 Escort Cup series against West Adelaide and added another nine league games that season. He also made 15 appearances  for the Reserves, helping them win the 1986 premiership.
