Norwood Adelaide Ashes Test Luncheon

Norwood Function Room in the Wolf Blass Community Centre - 4 Woods St, Norwood SA 5067

A bit about Mr Cricket, Michael Edward Killeen Hussey was born on the 27th of May 1975, Michael is a former international cricketer who played all forms of the game and now is a cricket coach and commentator.

Michael is also widely known by his nickname ‘Mr Cricket’ due to his encyclopaedic knowledge of the game.

Huss was a relative latecomer to both the one-day international and Test Australian teams, debuting at 28 and 30 years of age in the respective formats, with a whopping 15,313 first-class runs before making his Test debut.

He had a highly successful international career, being the top-ranked ODI batsman in the world in 2006.

He played first-class cricket as vice-captain of the Western Warriors in Australia and played for three counties in England, as well as the Indian Premier League for the Chennai Super Kings.

Michael announced his retirement from international cricket on 29 December 2012, however continued to play for Big Bash side Sydney Thunder after this date before announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket after the completion of BBL|05.

It’s been a bit of a wait to confirm the great man due to his long list of media commitments with all the cricket being played in December, but we’re pretty excited to have him visiting our great club.

A crowd favourite with all cricket supporters around the world.

Come along, on the day you will be treated to a beautiful two-course meal and three hours of Coopers Beers and Barossa Boy Wines during the afternoon.
