Norwood will host the season opener of the 2023 Hostplus SANFLW League at Coopers Stadium on Friday, February 17, facing North Adelaide under lights.
The complete 2023 Hostplus SANFLW League fixture was released on Tuesday, after the opening five rounds were unveiled before Christmas.
As well as the Round 1 season opener, Norwood will also play a blockbuster Good Friday match against Glenelg at Glenelg Oval on April 7, and host the Eagles at Coopers Stadium in the Round 4 First Nations Round on Friday night, March 17.
The 12-Round Women’s competition will culminate in a Finals series, which will commence on the weekend of May 27, while the Hostplus SANFLW League Grand Final – to be played on Sunday, June 11 – will be telecast live on Channel 7.
Norwood’s SANFLW side played the Roosters in a trial match on Saturday, going down to the Roosters 1.2-8 to 7.12-54 at Thebarton Oval.
The Redlegs Development Squad also played North Adelaide earlier in the day, with the Roosters coming back late to win by 2 points.
Norwood’s SANFLW team will host a second trial match this Friday, February 3 at Coopers Stadium against Glenelg from 8pm.
