2025 SA U16 & U18 Girls Academy

Eleven Norwood players have been selected in South Australian Junior Girls Academies for the 2025 season.

Kate Alexander, Lottie Lamond, Charlee Brooksby, Elke Cameron and Charli Hazelhurst have been selected in the SA U18 Girls Academy, while Lani Cocks, Lara Gribben, Kirralee Johns, Monique Rechichi, Lia So, Lillian Thomas and Mia Wood are in the SA U16 Squad.

South Australia won the U16 National Championship last season.

Alexander, Hazelhurst and Cameron all played SANFLW football for Norwood in 2024, with Alexander and Hazelhurst playing in the SANFLW Grand Final.

Key defender Hazelhurst played 16 matches for Norwood last season, and 16-year-old ruck Alexander 15 matches.

Academy members will train together over the pre-season, before rejoining their SANFLW clubs. The U16 National Championships will take place in April, while the U18s will play matches in June and August.
