AAMI Talent League Results

It was a game of incredible momentum swings at Norwood Oval on Saturday, with Norwood eventually going down to the ladder leading Woodville-West Torrens by 40 points. 

The Eagles booted the first four goals of the match to set the tone, before the Redlegs were able to steady and work their way into the contest. 

The visitors booted two goals just before half time to lead by 29 points at the main break. 

Woodville-West Torrens kicked the first three goals of the third term to make it 44 points.

Taking on the strong Eagles side, the Redlegs could have easily watched the margin blow out, but instead they showed real strength to flip the game on its head. 

Norwood kicked the next six goals in a row and suddenly it was 11 points in the early stages of the final term. 

The game flipped again, as the Eagles took full control. They managed the next four goals, to go with seven behinds to put the result to bed. 

First year defenders Thomas Gribben and Mason Tambe each had 33 disposals, with Gribben taking 12 marks and sneaking forward to kick a goal. Will Tanner had 25 disposals and 10 tackles in tough conditions.

Norwood’s U16s got overrun in the second half against Woodville-West Torrens at Norwood Oval on Saturday, going down by 31 points.

The Redlegs trailed by 11 points just before half time, before the Eagles kicked seven of the next nine goals to stretch the margin out to 44 points. 

Norwood kicked the last two goals of the match through Santo Hayman and Dominic De Lucia to bring it back to the five-goal margin. Hayman ended with three goals for the game.

Harrison Tink had 34 disposals for Norwood, while Kalani Fraser had 26 touches and kicked a goal.  

Norwood take on South Adelaide at Norwood Oval this Saturday, in Round 12 of the U18 and U16 season.
