Alex Newell named Head Coach of Under 18s

The Norwood Football Club is thrilled to announce Alex Newell as the club’s Under 18s coach for 2023.

Alex says, “I feel incredibly privileged and honoured to have the opportunity to represent the Norwood Football Club as Head Coach of the U18 program. My coaching journey started a few years ago at St. Michaels College and led me to be involved in the U18 program in 2022 as an assistant coach. I’m extremely excited as Head Coach to continue to build on the relationships I already have established with players and staff along with creating and building new ones within the program.”

“Developing the next generation of Norwood footballer’s as well as aiding in their journey to become the best possible young men they can is a passion of mine and I can’t wait to get started with this group. The year ahead will no doubt hold some challenges along the way but one thing is for sure, anyone who comes to watch a Norwood U18 game in the upcoming season will walk away knowing the next generation of Norwood talent is fully committed to the Norwood brand and community and will represent the guernsey and the club with an unquestionable amount of pride.”
