THE Norwood Football Club is pleased to announce former Assistant Coach, Brad Snell as its new SANFLW Coach.
Snell takes over as head coach after spending the 2021 season as the Senior Women’s Assistant Coach.
With a career spanning over 20 years, Snell has coached various junior and amateur sides including Norwood’s under 15s back in 2012.
Snell has spent the best part of his 15 years working as a teacher in women’s education which includes a stint at Mary Mackillop and currently at Wilderness.
Norwood CEO James Fantasia said the Club was confident Brad would excel in the role.
“Brad has an extensive knowledge of football and has a strong understanding of women’s education which coincide perfectly for the role of Senior Coach,” Fantasia said.
“Brad knows the majority of our senior players well, having guided the midfield throughout the 2021 SANFLW Season.
“We are confident that under his tutelage the women and girls involved with our Club will continue to progress and excel both on and off the field.”
Newly appointed women’s coach Brad Snell said he is excited about leading the women program in 2023.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge of being the head coach of the women in 2023,” said Snell.
“My background in teaching brings a whole skillset around developing women and getting the best out of them.
“The combination of teaching and my experience of developing women hold me in good stead whether it be their journey into the AFL system or towards that illustrious second Premiership we are chasing.
“Overall, I am really excited about the opportunity and looking forward to getting started and involved as soon as possible.”
