Coopers extends Partnership with Norwood

One of Australian sport’s most enduring partnerships will approach its eighth decade with Coopers Brewery extending its major partnership of the Norwood Football Club for another five years.

Coopers has been with the Redlegs since 1946 and this latest major partnership agreement will run until the end of 2024.

The iconic Australian brand will retain naming rights of the oval, while also continuing as the exclusive beer partner of the Norwood Football Club.

Norwood’s new deal with Coopers will benefit members and fans not only on home match days but also at events and functions in the Wolf Blass Community Centre.

Norwood Chief Executive Officer James Fantasia was delighted that Coopers would remain part of the Norwood Family as the Oval’s naming rights partner.

“We would not be the strong and stable club that we are today without the unwavering support of Coopers,” Mr Fantasia said.

“This latest agreement reinforces our shared values and the benefits we have been able to drive for both organisations, as well as the faith we have in each other’s future direction.

“We couldn’t be prouder to be linked to one of Australia’s most trusted brands and can’t wait to see this partnership continue to flourish.”

Coopers Marketing and Innovation Director Cam Pearce said the sponsorship arrangement with Norwood was Coopers’ longest continuous sponsorship.

“Coopers Brewery and the Cooper family over three generations have both supported and enjoyed the partnership of this iconic South Australian club,” he said.

“This will be an exciting year for Norwood with the New Wolf Blass function centre due to open in late June, giving Norwood a traditional after match venue for the first time since the old Wood Street premise was demolished some 20 years ago.”
